Something amazing happened to me in 1986 and ever since then I've tried to express how awe-inspiring and profound it is. Or I should say He is because that's when I had an encounter with Jesus Christ on a desperate night in New York City and my life was forever changed. I'm an artist and a teacher so it's my desire that every project and every lesson is infused with the hope of the gospel, and God's love for each of us. Wherever you are in your own spiritual journey, I hope that something you find here will be helpful in pointing you to the One who is the savior and the lover of you soul. Through plays, films, music, books, articles, and classes I endeavor to honestly tell my story and communicate the love of God and the wonder of all He does. Let's face it, if there are two subjects that we find uncomfortable or we try to avoid they are marital problems and spiritual opposition. I can't seem to resist trying to broach subjects that people would rather not think about, (i.e. Alzheimer's movie, plays and films about suicide, characters who have become bitter and have given up) not because I have a morose fascination with those sort of things, but because I believe that we have a Savior and a hope that stands firm in the face of even the most desperate circumstances.
So in keeping with that tradition I present to you The Marriage Conspiracy Handbook and DVD. Guaranteed to make you squirm a bit. This is no feel-good, warm and mushy sentimental piece, but a look into the fierce battle we face in developing a loving and enduring marriage that will bless our spouse, honor God, and shine to those around us. Many audiences leave quietly after watching the live play, perhaps to deal with some thorny issues that have been uncovered. However, some return later to report that their eyes were opened, and the ministry of the play and book were invaluable to their relationships and spiritual understanding. To be fair, it's not that harsh and the hard-hitting truths are softened by a story full of absurd comedy. I wanted it to be fun, but not that much fun, and the handbook is written from a compassionate and nurturing point of view.
